Week 2 cant keep that up lol

Well we had the last bar b q for a while today, weather held out which was great :) Richard came to take the last of the photos as we wanted kim and her brothers doing individual photos with their mum and dad, looking at what we saw they are going to look good.

The best part of the family get togethers is the kids enjoying themselves which makes for good pictures

Had some nice ones of Kim and our grandaughter as well :)

Photgrapher took some nice pictures today, which we will see hopefully soon. Most of the phots today were of kims mum and dad with individual photos of each of them then kim had one with her brothers. Food was good i did my usual beer soaked sausages, some decent burgers whilst Kim made her homemade green rice dish, cous cous with pomegranete and a very large chocolate cake with fresh raspberries oh and zingy lime and chilli prawn kebabs lol. all in all the end of a good week.
Should get a lie in tomorrow with it being a bank holiday need to get kims seedlings planted, tuesday we are off to a honey house to see honey being extracted and bottled then thursday its off for a days fishing woo hoo! so until the end of the week l8rs my friends :)

day 5 & 6 :)

ok i know thats cheating but by the time i get home i've run out of things or to many other jobs to contribute lol :) i did take pic's pf the chickens last night and i wanted to get a photo of the wet garden as its been about 6 weeks since we had some decent rain, but it had stopped raining by the time i got home....but i got the chickens :)

well 4 of them as 3 have gone broody on us.
So its friday kims gone back to work and i'm being house husband...after the conservatory i'm still in tidy mode so the office is next which i have already attacked

(glad kims not here) will show the finished result later  today :)
Ok finished article...cept i forgot to empty the bin lol

Had Alfie over today, he acts more and more grown up each day trouble is you cant leave him alone for long you cant see it in the following picture but he managed to turn the hose pipe on and start watering the garden....then the shed and also the inside of the incinerator, when i asked him why he was wet he said the garden needs watering to grow...'but its raining Alfie?' i know grandad but i'm helping the garden to grow.....i couldnt find a suitable answer to argue with :)

Anyway busy day tomorrow ready for sundays bar b q so l8rs everyone

Day 4

What a lovely day shame i had the day off :) Kim took day off as not very well so she's been resting so i carried on pottering around the house. Big job i wanted to do was get the conservatory cleaned in and out now that Kims moved her craft stuff upstairs.

Took a couple of hours but it cleaned up very nice :) the outside went better than i thought may just have to take up window cleaning lol.

So i think its chill out time this evening...jug of pimms in the fridge, some produce from the garden, a treat from the local butcher (sausage and bacon puff pastry swiss roll) for me and vegetarian quiche for Kim sorted :) going to sort out my fishing shed ready for next week before then

have not fished since before xmas and as theres a lake across the road to me i need to get my pike equipement changed over to carping. so until the weekend my friends l8rs

Day 3

Due to lack of interest day 3 has been cancelled :)

Day 2 (this wont happen every day lol) May 23rd

Worked only half day today, dropt kim off to work first then sorted out handing over a new project at work to someone else. Starting a new childrens group up for parents whose children who have yet to be diagnosed with an additional need or behaviour problem. Would of enjoyed working in this group but with redundancy in December its not fair on me or the group....so good luck to Ruth and Charlotte :) Very windy today but the sun is shining and is forcast to be a lovely week if it carries on until next week i'm definetly fishing :)
Dogs pleased to see us when we got in had there coats clipped last week

so with the warm weather ahead they will appreciate that. A quick walk around the garden to sort what i'm doing this weekend, the only untidy bit is where the compost bins are so i may put a gate across there with chicken wire. The area has attracted rats during the winter and with trapping and baiting they seemed to have gone but i dont want the dogs getting in there.

The other main thing to sort is the vegatable areas, Kims grown tomatoes, corgettes, peppers, chillies and squashes from seed

so with the extra bulbs that arrived i know what i'm doing lol.
We put 2 ovens up on ebay for sale last week and they finished last night but they didnt meet there reserve price so will put them up again later, one oven had 32 watchers lol...its a sad world...and i thought train spotting was boring.
one last thing how comes when your not feeling great and your tooth and jaw ache you fancy something you shouldn't really have.....couldn't get a cream egg :( but got next best thing lol)

day 1 may 2011

Day 1
How do you start a brand new blog?? every one says welcome to my page...hi there...etc.but its not that easy lol. This is the begining of my diary of mine and Kim's life in our new home.
Quick recap of last 20 years...seperated from ex wife julie met Kim and her 2 boys..married Kim...lived in 2 bed house....kim became disabled....6 years later we moved in to present home

After a year of building works (adaptations, ramps etc) the house was finally finished

there's lots more pictures but there on my Facebook page and it takes ages to download so i wont bother on here..yet :)  Well the kids have grown up and left home.....well this side they have. Les lives not far with his partner Laura and 2 children Alfie and Alaya (yes i know I'm a grandad lol), Chris lives a little further away with partner Gemma...(no kids...yet) while my 2 cant seem to leave their mum yet :)

At the moment Kim and myself are coming to a crossroads in our lives, I'm going to be redundant in 6 months and Kim wants to go part time and concentrate on her craft business.

The house takes up more time than i realised what with the 2 dogs, 6 rabbits, 8 chickens and soon to be 2 bee hives (honey production next year )

Anyway that's where we are at the moment :) so as of today i will try and add a daily thought with whats happening with pic's as  well for each day (if i remember).
So what's happened today i here you cry...well Kim's now taken over upstairs with her crafts instead of the conservatory,

which makes sense as there's a kitchen up there to make tea, I've set a phone and laptop there as well so she can keep an eye on orders...she even has the walkie talkie to keep an eye on me as well :) the idea is that the downstairs spare bedroom will be her craft shop but that will be another time. I went out to try and find some daylight bulbs for her but no where opened so came back and ordered on line (£10 a bloody bulb!!!) once i left Kim to it i cleaned out the chickens (we lost one earlier in week...not sure why it died as it was around 5 years old) 2 have gone broody so i have to keep kicking them off there nest each morning. The rabbits had a chance to run around for a while during cleaning, the girls need mating up again as 1 missed, 1 lost her baby and the other pulled fur but nothing?. I will wait till Monday b4 they get mated up again. I did have some more bulbs to plant (again...) but my jaw is aching (tooth pulled yesterday) so I'm sitting finishing my blog, play a little travian then watch a film hopefully :) so on that note I think i will make a cuppa so till my next blog l8rs :)
